Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al-Lawzi, Assistant Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technology at our university, has been promoted to Assistant Professor from 16/2/2025.

CV

- Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Ali Al-Lawzi Al-Kaabi, born in Samawah in 1956.

- He finished his high school study from Samawah Intermediate School for Boys in 1974-1975 and a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Mosul in the academic year (1979-1980). He was involved in artistic and athletic activities during his undergraduate studies at the university, including winning several awards in the University Athletics Championship in 1975.

- His older brother, the late legal scholar Hassan Al-Lawzi, was sentenced to death and his assets were confiscated by the former regime for his leadership participation in the 1991 Shaabaniya Protest.

- He was elected head of the Syndicate of Veterinarians in the province in 1992, a position he held for two times.

- He was elected as a founding member of the provincial Chamber of Commerce in 2006.

- He received a higher diploma in pathological analysis from Al-Qadisiyah University on April 5, 2011.

- He was elected president of the provincial Anti-Tuberculosis Association in 2012 for two times.

- He received a master's degree in physiology from Al-Qadisiyah University on January 5, 2014, and a Ph.D. in physiology and chemistry from Basra University on July 22, 2019.

- He was elected president of the provincial Intellectuals Association in 2019.

- He has over sixteen years of active university service at Al-Muthanna University, starting on April 17, 2007.

- He has held several administrative, academic, and teaching positions in branches and departments of the College of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy at Al-Muthanna University.

- He has more than (15) published research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has been accepted for publication.

- He has participated in more than (20) scientific conferences inside and outside Iraq.

- He has received several letters of thanks and appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Universities of Muthanna and Sawa and their colleges.

- He was retired from the College of Dentistry at Muthanna University on December 31, 2021.

- He joined Sawa University on January 15, 2022.

- He was assigned as the Assistant Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies at our university, and he is still holding this position.
