Department of Medical Physics and Radiotherapy Technology Engineering is a department that studies the applications of physics in the medical field, specifically in the field of treating diseases using radiation and rays. It is interested in developing and improving radiotherapy and medical diagnostic techniques using advanced physical devices and techniques.

The specialty of Medical Physics and Radiotherapy Technologies Engineering is to provide technical support and expertise in the use of radiological technologies for diagnosis and treatment in the medical field. It seeks to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized and effective care to patients and ensure their safety and comfort while receiving radiotherapy.

 

Aims:

1. Acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of medical physics and radiation therapy techniques, including an understanding of the physics basics and the various radiation techniques used in diagnosis and treatment.

2. Develop the ability to analyze data and use advanced tools and techniques used in processing.

3. The graduate degree from this department is called “Bachelor of Engineering in Medical Physics and Radiotherapy Technologies”.

 

The Graduate works:

1- The areas of work for graduates of this department include cooperation with physicians and medical teams specialized in the field of radiotherapy, providing technical support in the use and maintenance of radiotherapy devices, monitoring radiation doses used in treatment, and designing as well as implementing quality and safety programs in this field.

2- Graduates of medical physics and radiation therapy technology engineering can work in the public and private sectors in hospitals, cancer treatment centers, medical research centers, companies of manufacture, Development of radiotherapy and diagnostic devices, and academic institutions.
