Department of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineering

This department is also considered a distinguished department in teaching engineering technology. It supports the process of development and research in Iraq and contributes to building a healthy society.
Mission:
Qualifying local competencies capable of meeting the needs of the labour market in various fields of mechanical engineering techniques, with a focus on professional ethics. Its mission also lies in preparing technicians with high professional scientific competence as well as consolidating scientific thinking and excellence in the fields of research. Moreover, strengthening community partnership and achieving safety and quality conditions are vital parts of this department's mission.
Aims:
1.Graduating qualified specialists with the knowledge and skills that enable them to deal efficiently with all refrigeration and air conditioning technology engineering specialties.
2.Training students on how to deal with various engineering consultations in their field of specialization.
3. Preparing students with the professional, administrative and quality ethical foundations of the department.
4. Educating students and informing them of the dangers of work and how to protect workers.
5. Developing students’ educational, research and creativity skills.
6. Providing the appropriate environment and capabilities necessary to enable faculty members to increase their ability and develop their academic skills to ensure the quality of educational outcomes.
7. Encouraging faculty members to contribute effectively to scientific research and academic studies.
8. Benefiting from the academic and professional expertise of faculty members in serving the university and contributing to solve some of the problems which face society.
