Speech of the assistant of the university president for scientific affairs

Sawa University is one of the scientific edifices in Al-Muthanna Governorate. It was established in 2020, and although it is one of the new universities, it has made qualitative leaps in the field of infrastructure and in the field of various disciplines.

The university started with seven scientific departments distributed over three colleges, which are the College of Health and Medical Technologies, the College of Education, and the College of Law. In this academic year, the university established two scientific departments for the College of Health and Medical Technologies.

The university includes a specialized teaching staff and the number exceeds (100) holders of postgraduate degrees and various scientific titles. Currently, there is a six-storey building that can accommodate more than 5,000 students and contains tens of classrooms and eight laboratories. Thus, the total number of laboratories will be 14. The building will be ready for occupancy at the beginning of the next academic year. The university has a website for communication and openness to all international and Iraqi universities.

A club and a restaurant were opened for students, with two floors, accommodating thousands of students, and it is one of the largest and most modern restaurants in the governorate.

In addition, university professors publish dozens of scientific research in Scopus global containers.

In conclusion, we promise our people in Al-Muthanna Governorate that our university will be in the ranks of international universities, and God grant success.
