Department of Arabic

Vision

The Arabic Language Department seeks to teach the Arabic language to students, and to preserve the language of the Holy Quran. In addition, it provides the community with highly qualified competencies in the field of language and literature, to contribute to build and develop, seeking to link originality with contemporary in research and teaching, and promoting the values of belonging, responsibility, creativity, thinking and construction.

Aims

1.     Teaching the Arabic language and enabling students to master its various skills.

2.     Promoting scientific research in the field of the Arabic language and its sciences, and preparing linguistic studies and research that aim to serve the language of the Holy Qur’an.

3.     Contribute to the revival of the Arab heritage in the sciences of the Arabic language, so that intellectuals can benefit from it, and the department contributes to highlight our civilizational features and opening up horizons for it to perform its human mission.

4.     Contribute to teaching the subjects required by the university, and provide language advice to those wishing to do so.

5.     Spreading the language of the Holy Qur’an among Islamic societies, so that they can know the language of the Holy Qur’an and the sayings of prophet Muhammed.

6.     Preparing qualified academic staff for university and schoolwork.
