On the occasion of the forty-fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and the virtuous woman Bint al-Huda, may God Almighty bless them, and in implementation of the curriculum prepared by the Deanship of the College of Education, the Department of Qur'anic Sciences and Islamic Education, in cooperation with the Psychological and Educational Counseling and Student Activities Divisions, held a scientific symposium entitled "Glimpses from the Fragrant Biography of the Martyr Sayyid Muhammed Baqir al-Sadr." The symposium took place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025. The participants included:
1. Prof. Dr. Ghanim Najeeb Abbas, Chairman.
2. Asst. Prof.r Dr. Jawad al-Ward, First Lecturer.
3. Asst. Prof. Dr. Muslim Shakir Jebir, Second Lecturer.
The symposium shed light on the fragrant biography of the martyred Sayyid, who watered the tree of Islam with his pure blood and was a beacon of truth against falsehood and tyranny. He recorded the most glorious images of sacrifice and redemption in order to uphold the word of truth and divine monotheism on earth. His thought is still strongly present, as his thought represented a renewed life project and a comprehensive Islamic system for building and reforming society according to a contemporary perspective.
Moreover, the symposium focused on his most prominent works, as he enriched the scientific library with many important works that constitute a primary source for researchers and students of knowledge. Among his works are: (The Target of Thinking in the Science of USul "Fundamentals"), which consists of ten parts, of which only the fifth part has been printed; the other parts are missing; (Fadak in History), (Our Philosophy), (Our Economy), (which includes two parts); (The Islamic School). This is a series of which two issues have been published: (Contemporary Man and the Social Problem) (And What Do You Know About Islamic Economics), (The New Features of Non-Usul), (The Interest-Free Bank in Islam), (The Logical Foundations of Induction), (Research in the Explanation of Al-Urwat al-Wuthqa), (A Brief Summary of the Rules of Hajj), (The Clear Fatwas), (Lessons in Usul al-Fiqh). The third part includes two parts: a study on guardianship and a study on the Mahdi, , which is unfortunately now missing, and a commentary on (Minhaj al-Salihin) by Sayyid al-Hakim (may God sanctify his secret) in two parts.
The (Islam Leads Life) research series, which includes:
A) A preliminary jurisprudential overview of the draft constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. b) A picture of the economy of Islamic society.
c) Detailed outlines of the economy of Islamic society.
d) The succession of man and the testimony of the prophets.
e) Sources of power in the Islamic state.
f) The general foundations of banking in Islamic society, lectures on the objective interpretation of the Qur'an, published under the title (The Qur'anic School). The martyred Sayyid, may God be pleased with him, also wrote other works that were confiscated by the authorities, including a book I saw him writing during his detention, which he did not give a title to. When I asked him about its subject, he said it was on the principles of religion. He also wrote another book on the analysis of the human mind, which he did not complete and which the authorities confiscated after his martyrdom.
