The Department of Medical Laboratories at the College of Health and Medical Technology, in cooperation with the Unit of the Joint Center for Coordination and Monitoring, held a scientific workshop entitled (Safety and Biological Security Methods in Educational Laboratories), at eleven thirty in the morning on 8-9/ 6/2024, in which the following figures participated :
1- Asst. Lect. Saif Mazal Abdulhassan - Chairman.
2- Asst. Lect. Athhraa Hadi Abdulameer - First Lecturer.
3- Asst. Lect. Zaidoon Hussein Mahdi - Second Lecturer.
4- Asst. Lect. Ali Fakhir Hadi – Third Lecturer.
5- Asst. Lect. Sabreen FalIh Hassan - Rapporteur.
The workshop aimed to identify relevant international guidelines and standards on facilities for humans, animals and plants. In addition, it tackled the impact of laws and regulations, identify risk groups and biosafety levels and understand the relationship between them, and understand how to modify safety levels based on risk assessment.
