Large festival for eyesight
On the occasion of World Sight Day, the Department of Optometry at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at our university held a large festival that included a verse from the Holy Quran, reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, and playing the Republican Anthem as well as the special anthem of Sawa University. The head of the department, Prof. Hussein Muhammad Katea, gave a welcoming speech to the attendees and after that he opened an exhibition for medical devices for advanced optical technologies and another exhibition for the optical medical poster. Moreover, he rewarded the distinguished professors and employees in the department.
The celebration was attended by the Assistant of the University President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Turki Muftin Saad, the Assistant of the University President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Safaa Mustafa Hameed, and the Dean of the College of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nada Sami Nassir.
