A Scientific Symposium on the Story of Isra and Mi'raj
To commemorate the Isra and Mi'raj journey of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education held a scientific symposium. The participants were:
1- Asst. Prof. Dr. Jawad Al-Ward – Chairman
2- Asst. Prof. Dr. Muslim Shakir Jabr – Lecturer
3- Lect. Dr. Qutaiba Adnan Shaker – Rapporteur
The symposium explored the story of Isra and Mi'raj, considered the greatest journey in human history, which changed the course of history.
The Prophetic mission marked the beginning of a great message based on mercy, morality, and humanity. It altered the course of history and built a nation founded on faith, its values being truthfulness and trustworthiness, and its motto being peace. How much we need today to recall the meanings of this message and to emulate the noble Prophet's life in words and deeds, character and conduct.
Commemorating the Prophet's mission is not merely a celebration, but a sincere call to return to the path of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to adhere to his noble values in our daily lives, so that we may be a shining example of Islam as God intended.
We ask God to grant us the intercession of His Prophet, to make us among those who follow his path and adhere to his Sunnah, and to spread peace and goodness throughout our nation and the entire world.
