A scientific symposium on the electronic passport and a course in eliminating fake passports
Under the auspices of the respected Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Mudhar Abdullah Al-Zalimi, and the guidance of the respected President of the University, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Sarhan Muhammad, the Faculty of Law held a scientific symposium on: (The electronic passport and a course in eliminating fake passports), in which Dr. Basim Hassan Khader and the assistant teacher, Riam Lazam lectured. The symposium focused on introducing students to the electronic passport that was recently implemented in Iraq, and the procedures for its issuance, as the symposium included two items:
The first item: a vision of the new electronic passport.
The second item: What is the fate of the paper passport after issuing the electronic passport?
Subsequently, interventions were discussed by the attendees on the extent of applying this system, and the role of passport departments in that.
The two lecturers stressed the need to educate the community about the importance of the electronic passport, and encourage them to obtain it in order to get rid of fake passports.
