In implementation of the curriculum prepared by the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance and the Deanship of the College of Education at our university and in cooperation with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in the province, a symposium was held on (The Role of Students in Peaceful Coexistence and the Promotion of National Peace), in the large conference hall at the university.
Session Chairman: Prof. Dr.. Ghanim Najeeb Abbas - Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department at the university.
The lecturer: Journalist Aref Shaheed, Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate - Al-Muthanna Branch.
Session Supervisor: Asst. Lect. Alaa Mahmoud - Lecturer in the Department of Quran Sciences.
The lecturer emphasized the role of students in spreading the spirit of citizenship, peaceful coexistence, and renunciation of the other, spreading knowledge of citizenship issues and the educational perspective, forming positive attitudes towards the other as it becomes a behaviour between the student and society and in their daily lives, away from intellectual and sectarian biases.
At the end of the symposium, the discussion was opened for the attendees to answer their questions and inquiries that contributed to enriching the topic.
