The Department of Optometry at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, in cooperation with the Directorate for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in the governorate and the Department of Psychological Counseling, the Educational Guidance and Women’s Empowerment at our university held a symposium on (The Crime of Drug Trafficking and Its Penalties In the Iraqi Law) at nine o’clock in the morning on Wednesday 20/3/2024. The following figures participated:
1- Mr. Hussein Muhammed Katea - Chairman.
2- Lieutenant Colonel Amin Musa Kadhim - Lecturer.
3- Researcher Ahmed Ngheimesh Najm - Second Lecturer.
4- Asst. Lect. Hassan Naeem Toama - Rapporteur.
The symposium, which was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Safaa Mustafa Hameed Al-Janabi, touched on the crime of drug trafficking and its significant effects, as well as the Iraqi laws that deter it.
